The Maplewood and Corky Row Neighborhood Associations sponsored a community supper on November 15th featuring a spaghetti dinner with an "admission price" of a can or box of food to donate to the Fall River Food Bank. There was also be a Santa register to ask Santa for help this year to fulfill the wishes of children in need. In December, the families who asked Santa for assistance will be invited to a holiday party to meet Santa and receive their gift. Fall River's eight Neighborhood Associations provide social and informational opportunities for residents to voice their concerns and issues as they relate to the quality of life in the city. The Maplewood Neighborhood Association was established in October, 2002, and now meets at the Maplewood-Niagara Senior Center. The group offers workshops, activities and neighborhood events will address safety, environment, substance abuse, health education and adult education.
