New England forests are crisscrossed by miles of stone walls built by nineteenth century farmers to fence in livestock, mark property boundaries and clear their fields of stone. Chris Tracy, local stonewall builder and landscape designer, led a walk at the old Blossom Family farmstead in the Watuppa Reservation to explore the history and restoration techniques for these relics of New England's agricultural past.

(Top row) Chris Tracy leads one of many heart-healthy walks that the Trustees of Reservations Education Director Linton Harrington (right in the top right photo) conducts throughout the year to acquaint people with the large wooded bioreserve that makes up over one half of the City of Fall River. For more information about the Copicut Woods and the Trustees, check out their web site.
