PARTNERS | HEALTHY CITY  | HOW HEALTHY | VISION | SUMMIT | PRIORITIES | FUNCTIONS | CITY OF FALL RIVER

The first of four Neighborhood Summer Festivals , presented by Mayor Edward M. Lambert, Jr., was held at Abbott Court Park in the City's South End on July 12, 2005. Organized by Community Coordinator Maureen Ryan Estes in partnership with Community Development Recreation and the Fall River Police Department. Thanks to many generous donations, including Partners for a Healthier Community, Saint Anne's Credit Union and Fall River Ford, the Neighborhood Summer Festival is celebrating its fourth summer in the parks bringing, free family fun activities and entertainment. Arts and crafts and games are provided by the participating agencies who understand that the Festivals provide a unique opportunity to outreach to the community and engage in conversation with the residents they serve. The Festivals began as a Neighborhood Council project and have become a corner piece of summer fun in Fall River. Other festivals are scheduled for July 19th at Maplewood Park, July 26th at North Park and August 2nd at Lafayette Park. For further information about these events, contact Community Coordinator Maureen Estes at 508-324-2405.
