Every Wednesday,
after school, neighborhood children gather at the
Salvation Army on Bedford Street to participate in Club 3:16. Youth
Minister Elliot Higgins leads children in
variety of healthy activities
including tutoring, vigorous recreation and community projects, and
a spiritual component. The program has received positive feedback from
parents, teachers and the Bank Street Neighborhood Association. The
program uses adult volunteers from the neighborhood to assist and receives
a donation of pizza every week from Seth Hocker-Lotz from the South Main
Street Dominos Pizza. |
