The BOLD (Building Our Lives Drug-free) Coalition hosted its second annual awards and recognition holiday banquet at the Marine Museum on Water Street on December 14, 2006. The event was an opportunity to thank the many students and volunteers who have worked on BOLD projects throughout the year and to honor a number of people who have advanced the mission of reducing youth substance abuse. The program was emceed by Michael Ramos, a staff member of the CORE program at Bristol Community College (BCC) which assists BCC students in addressing substance use issues. Students from Teens Against Drug Abuse (TADA) both received their own awards and presented awards to B.M.C. Durfee High School teacher Susan Phenix, Fall River Police Department Sergeant Clifford Wright, BCC Coordinator of Tutoring Ron Weisberger and Healthy City Fall River Coordinator Dr. David Weed.
