Organized by the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions in partnership with EOEA, Biodiversity Days  is a challenge to citizens to familiarize themselves with the wealth of animal and plant species with which we share our communities and to identify in each participating city/town at least 200 species in backyards, schoolyards, conservation land, and other open space by permission. Organized by The Trustees of Reservations, ten people braved a steady rain on June 10, 2006, to help find and identify over seventy species during the walk, including trees, wildflowers, ferns, insects, amphibians, and birds. The complete list of species found on the walk can be viewed at the EOEA database page for Fall River. To see how Fall River schools participated in Biodiversity Days, click here.
