For the first time ever, the Buddhist Temple hosted a health fair as part of the Cambodian New Year celebration on April 16, 2006. Representatives from a number of agencies were on hand to distribute information and do basic screenings. Traditional events, including raffles and games, were held, and a wide assortment of traditional Cambodian food was available to the hundreds of people who participated. The leaders of the Temple commented that the health information was very welcome and many people asked that the event be held again next year. The entire event was planned by members of the St. Anne's Hospital Multicultural Committee. For more information, contact Paula Meireles.
