Eagle Scout candidate Tyler Hill of Troop 15 offered a health fair at the Church of the Ascension soup kitchen on June 24, 2006, as part of his community leadership service requirement. He will write up the project and submit it to the Narragansett Council of the Boy Scouts as part of his application. Tyler solicited over $1,000 worth of donations from local merchants, including a donation of a gas grill from Home Depot which will go to Troop 15 at the Union United Methodist Church, of which he is a member. Trembley's Bus donated the use of another grill along with a $100 donation. Tyler also received donations from Dr. Paul Ruggieri, Urology Inc., T&M Hill Sons and Daughter, Heritage Carriage, Trembleys Bus, Dr. Paul Raymond, Dr. Michael Buccino, Cut n Shop, Shaws, Building #19, and Deb Ozugs A Place to Learn, which  enabled him to give out free hygiene kits. He also arranged to have the Southcoast Health Van on hand so those eating at the soup kitchen could also get a free health screening. WSAR Radio also provided advance publicity for the project.
