The city's third annual Heritage Harvest Festival celebrated the fall season on September 30th and October 1st, 2006, at Heritage State Park. The event, sponsored by the Friends of Heritage State Park and the Department of Conservation and Recreation, featured musical entertainment, arts and crafts, pony rides, and blacksmith, ceramic, weaving, and spinning demonstrations throughout the two days. The event began with a costume parade, led by Pirate Jack Sparrow of Funny Factory. Spiderman made an appearance on Sunday, and the program concluded with a demonstration by Eyes on Owls of Dunstable, MA. Click here for pictures of last year's event.
