The Fall River Youth Council, in partnership with the Fall River Housing Authority and Community Development Recreation, hosed their third annual Make a Difference Day Halloween Party, on October 28, 2006, at the Niagara Senior Center. Over 100 elementary and middle school youth enjoyed face painting, bag-making, pumpkin decorating, cookie decorating and participated in costume and dance contests. Participants were asked to bring a canned good to be donated to the Veterans Association of Bristol County, and donors received a raffle ticket good for prizes for those who donated the most items. Make a Difference Day is the national day of doing good, an opportunity to give back to the community, and Youth Council members were encouraged to participate. For more information, contact Youth Services Coordinator Christian McCloskey at 508-324-2419.
