Kuss Middle School is the site for a summer remediation program run by the Fall River Public Schools for children who can benefit by some classroom time during the school vacation. The program, which is funded through 21st Century funds, runs in two sessions, (8:00-10:00 a.m. and 10:00-12:00 Noon, offers both remedial instruction along with a physical fitness program held at Ruggles Park. "It's the main reason a lot of kids participate in the program," notes instructor Josh Martin. The program is voluntary for some and mandatory for others depending on performance during the preceding school year. For more information about the program, call 508-675-8335.
