Representatives of the B.O.L.D. (Building Our Lives Drug-free) Coalition took their program on the road and met with members of the Swansea School Committee on November 6, 2007, to invite Swansea residents to participate in BOLD’s activities and programs. Karen Fischer and Maureen Ryan-Estes also offered to bring BOLD’s parenting and youth drug prevention curriculum to the Swansea school system. BOLD has worked over the past three years to establish substance abuse prevention in the City of Fall River and now seeks to expand the program to the towns of Somerset, Swansea and Westport. For an example of some of the BOLD programs, click here for pictures of this summer's Family Fun Day. For more information about the BOLD Coalition, funded by a  SAMHSA grant, contact Program Director Karen Fischer  at Stanley Street Treatment & Resources at 508-324-3537.
