Alberto Costa has maintained a small farm stand on Tucker Street near Stafford Road in the City's South End for the past six years. After raising his own vegetables on a small piece of land on Menholt Street in Little Compton, Alberto brings his produce to his garage and opens it up for sales on most Fridays and Saturdays from summer into the fall. He sells corn, beans, tomatoes, squash and peppers. His wife, Fatima, also cans peppers, onions and tomatoes for sale. He also sells at the Kennedy Park Farmer's Market on some Saturday mornings. The Kennedy Park Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., from May to November. A similar farm stand also operates on Bedford Street.
