Fall River
Extends Supportive Hands (F.R.E.S.H.),
a newly established youth
leadership group, organized a car wash on July 7, 2007, at Robert's
House of Formals II located on the corner of Mariano Bishop Blvd. and
Tucker St. Funds raised by the event were designated to assist with
expenses for an upcoming trip to Six Flags, a celebration of the hard
work that these youth put in for Mayor's Youth Forum V and the America's
Promise Presentation. In addition, the youth are planning several events
during the summer and into the school year, and any additional funds
will be utilized to support these endeavors. FRESH is the
America's Promise team that is challenging the city to support youth
through five promises. For more information contact Fall River Youth
Services Coordinator and Co-Chair of the Healthy Youth Task Force
Christian McCloskey at 508-324-2419. |
