One of the best place to find fresh fruits and vegetables in Fall River is the Farmers' Market in Kennedy Park every Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., from mid-May to late November. More than twenty stands are set up every week offering a wide variety of produce, most of it locally grown. Interest in farmers' markets has grown in recent years as more people are concerned about global warming and improved nutrition, one of the best ways to reduce the incidence of a number of chronic diseases, including diabetes, heart disease and cancer.  For the Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership list of all of the markets in Southeastern Massachusetts and nearby Rhode Island, click here.
