Every child at the Matthew J. Kuss Middle School is challenged to read at least twenty-five books over the course of the year. Those who did were given free tickets to participate in an hour of fun and games on Rock Street in front of the school on June 8, 2007. They also got extra chances to try their hand at putting school personnel in the dunk tank. The event was organized by English teacher Maria Pontes and carried out by the entire faculty. Prizes were provided through funds raised by Jim Moore of the Isaiah Avila Foundation and the Kuss Middle School Parent Teacher Organization. For further information about the event, contact Kuss Middle School principal Nancy Mullen at 508-675-8335.
