Between 80 and 100 youth joined the Peaceful Coalition for a Hoop Fest on the basketball courts at Britland Park behind the Fall River Police station on June 15, 2007. All of the participants received a Peaceful Coalition Hoop Fest T-shirt, and members of the winning team each received a brand new basketball.  "The kids had a great time and it was a terrific way to kick off the summer, stated B.M.C. Durfee High School advisor to the group Paul Leite. "Not only did we have a chance to have some fun with the kids, we also had the opportunity to connect with them, counsel, and discuss summer plans, including work and summer school."
