Students from the Peaceful Coalition at B.M.C. Durfee High School joined students from the Resiliency For Life Program, the Durfee Academy and the Dubuque Alternative School for a ski trip to Pico Mountain in Vermont. The January 28-30, 2007 trip was designed to give adolescents representing various backgrounds, ethnicities and cultures the opportunity to share and learn from one another. Students had a chance to try skiing, many for the first time, and to participate in team-building activities. The entire trip was both a personal growth experience and a chance to meet students from other communities. To see more photos of the Peaceful Coalition, click here and here.
