Organized by City Council candidate Nathan Amaral, students from Bristol Community College (BCC) participated in a clean-up of Fall River streets on October 27, 2007. Students representing MassPIRG, Mass WaterWatch, and the Fall River Rotary "Rotaract" Club joined forces, to clean up along Davol Street near Heritage State Park. This project is part of each group's efforts to engage more young adults in community service projects. This event addresses one of the Healthy City priority areas of Cleaner Streets and Parks throughout the city. For more information about the clean-up, contact Omama Marzuq at 774-454-6503. For information about Rotaract, contact Bristol Community College Business and Information Management Professor Ron Santos at 508-678-2811, X2026.
