The Seton Academy for Girls on North High Street held a mile walk fundraiser on October 27, 2007, for children, parents and supporters. Starting at the school, the group walked to Bicentennial Park, half a mile away and then returned to the school for refreshments. Despite the threatening rain, participants enjoyed the heart-healthy activity and the chance to talk with one another along the route while raising funds for the school. The group enjoyed the walk so much that they are considering participating in the Healthy City Walk-to-School program next year. For more information about the school, contact Co-Principal Carol Brickhill at (508) 672-4274.
