The Massachusetts Governor's Committee on Physical Fitness & Sports (MGCPFS) created the Every Body Move campaign in May of 2005 as an ongoing initiative to get Massachusetts residents "moving". Every Body Move was designed to motivate and inspire citizens of the Commonwealth to live a healthier lifestyle by highlighting everyday activities that can enhance their overall health and well-being. The goal is to educate children about the benefits of being physically fit and encourage participation in activities that are fun and provide them with positive results. St. Vincent's Home at 2425 Highland Avenue, received a $7,500 grant and has put together a wellness program for their youth served. An open house on July 31, 2007, introduced staff to the new facility housed in the basement of Cottage 4. For more information about the program, contact Paul Michael at 508-679-8511.
