The
Fall River Community Tennis Association
(CTA) held a tennis party -- "Welcome Back to Tennis" -- on July 13,
2007, at he tennis courts at Bristol Community College. The three-hour
party targeted to active adults aged 50-and-over introduced or
reacquainted participants to the social and health benefits of tennis.
The party featured music, food, fun and games plus the latest in new
racquet technology and learning techniques that make it easy to get
right into the swing of things on the court. The event was designed and
sponsored by the
United States Tennis
Association (USTA) and the
International Council on Active Aging. Other CTA programs, including a
tennis
block party and a
tennis
demonstration, were held during the summer of 2006. For more
information, contact the CTA at 508-801-5761 or e-mail CTA president
Jeff Chace. |
