The
Fall River YMCA
celebrated 150 years of service to the Greater Fall River Community on
October 25, 2007, in the Grand Ballroom of the International Institute
of Culinary Arts on Rock Street. Executive Director Frank Duffy served
as master of ceremonies and introduced members from the past
seventy-five years of Y history. The program also featured dance numbers
down through the decades by members of the
Fall River Dance Academy and teen
dancers from the Y. The YMCA encourages fitness and healthy living
through its many programs both at the 199 North Main Street headquarters
and at locations throughout the City.
