Adults and children were invited to "Art and the Holidays On Exhibit" at 25 North Main Street, as part of the December 6, 2008, “Fall River Kicks-off the Holidays” events organized by the City of Fall River planned by arts and civic groups. The event featured live ice sculpture by Kevin Medeiros of Art in Ice outside the studio. Inside, the Children's Museum offered a number of crafts for children and the Yomega Company offered a free yo-yo demonstration by "Outch" Outchcunis and a give-away of 200 yo-yos. Building owner and member of the Downtown Development Committee Jerry Donovan helped to organize the event which also included a children’s Christmas movie and popcorn, sales of tickets to the Nutcracker by the Spindle City Ballet (four tickets were given away at the end of the day. Art work from the BCC art club was also on exhibit at the North Main Street location, while artist Elizabeth Gramm exhibited at 45 North Main Street  and Scott Camara at 18 Purchase Street.
