District Attorney Sam Sutter's Office held the first of a series of basketball clinics for youth ages 7 through 12 on November 8, 2008 with Volunteer Coordinator Brian Rose and former NBA player Ernie DiGregorio. Over 100 kids showed up at the Spencer Borden Elementary School for the morning event. Additional clinics will be held starting on November 15th at the Bank Street Armory. "This is a great way for boys and girls to learn some of the basics of the game," commented Rose. "If kids are going to be more active, they have to develop some skills and confidence with team sports. This series of clinics is designed to introduce kids to tennis, basketball and baseball," he added. Two baseball clinics will be held on April 18th and 25, 2009, at locations to be announced with former Red Sox pitcher Rose. Registration for the three clinics can be picked-up at the DA's Fall River office at 38 Rock Street, Community Development Recreation at 72 Bank Street, or at the Boys' and Girls Club' at 803 Bedford Street, Fall River.
