Residents of the Borden East and West Apartments in downtown Fall River have the opportunity to do some stretching exercises twice a week under the guidance of Evette Mancini. "I get them to move their fingers and hands, their face and tongues and even their eyes, in addition to the rest of their bodies," stated Mancini, 93, who has been leading the group for the past six years. Mancini, who taught water exercises in Florida, started the group with a hula dance group. "We don't dance anymore, but we keep moving," she noted. She is active at the Fall River Y, taking yoga, dance exercise and water aerobics classes. "I don't have a bit of arthritis because I exercise," she added. Anyone from either Borden East or West is invited to join the group which meets every Monday and Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Borden East community room. Contact Ms. Mancini at 508-676-0739.
