Community Development Re-creation kicked off the 2008 summer season with a three-hour, free celebration with music, food and fun at Ruggles Park. Activities included a rock climbing wall, pony rides, arts and crafts, and a dunk tank. A number of agencies, including CFC Head Start, YouthBuild and the Family Services Association offered children a variety of activities. Pizza and refreshments were provided by Domino's Pizza of south Main Street.."This event is how we always kick-off the start of our summer recreation programs and the free Summer Lunch in the Parks program," said Grace S. Gerling, executive director of CD-REC. "Seth Hockert-lotz of Domino's Pizza has been a consistent supporter and are thankful for his willingness to provide a free lunch for the hundreds of children and their parents who show up each year."
