Arts United and the B.O.L.D. coalition announced the names of the student artists whose work was selected to appear in the final Art Wrap banner to go up on the construction site of the new District and Superior Court Courthouse on South Main Street. Judges picked winners from a field of 173 entries, and Mayor Robert Correia invited each of the finalist to his office on November 10, 2008, to receive a citation. Over the past year, drawings of Fall River scenes were selected from among student entries and enlarged on 16-foot vinyl banners for display along the fence. Arts United president Jeff Carpenter helped to develop the art displays in the South Main Street area as part of an Arts on Main Street project funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
