Music and fine arts mingled at the Seventh Annual Narrows Festival of the Arts on Anawan and Water Streets  on September 7, 2008. Taking full advantage of Fall River's waterfront just a block from the City's new Ponta Delgada Gates, the event featured visual artists, musicians and a full schedule of multi-cultural children's activities. The Children's Cultural Palooza included a Chinese folk art workshop with a dragon dance, Taiwanese drums and Chinese yo-yo demonstration. Headliners included Carrie Rodriguez, Eric Lindell Band, the Holmes Brothers and the Jim Lauderdale Trio. Painting, jewelry, baskets, photographs, fabric design, weaving, leaded glass and high-end crafts were also on sale. A food court featured local fare from TA's Restaurant, LePage's Seafood, Ma's Kitchen and the Good Shepherd Parish. Click here for the Herald News article.
