Volunteers from the
United Neighbors of
Fall River Foster Care Support Task Force and other organizations
gathered at
Heritage State Park on May 10, 2008, for the Stepping Out to Support
Foster Care Walk. The event, sponsored by
MegaNet Communications, included a
two-mile walk along the scenic boardwalk, as well as raffles, child
activities, entertainment and refreshments. "This is our first
fund-raising walk," stated United Neighbors director Jenny DiBlasi, "and
we were very pleased with the turnout of foster moms, children and
supporters." Funds raised by the walk go to support activities for
foster families in the Greater Fall River area. For more information
