WSAR Radio and Southcoast Hospitals Group sponsored the fourth annual Southcoast Health Expo at White's Restaurant on Sunday, March 2, 2008. Several hundred people lined up in advance of the noontime opening for the chance to visit over fifty healthcare vendors including chiropractic, dentistry, hearing, holistic medicine and diet and nutrition providers. As in past years, prizes were raffled off by WSAR Radio staff and the entire event was broadcast live by the radio station staff who used the event as an opportunity to do live interviews with many representatives of the participating organizations. Healthy City Fall River and the Fall River Tobacco Control program were generously offered space as was the Diabetes Association, Inc. Click here for photos of the 2006 health fair. For more information about the event, contact WSAR general sales manager Michael Carriere at  508-678-9727.
