PARTNERS | HEALTHY CITY  | HOW HEALTHY | VISION | SUMMIT | PRIORITIES | FUNCTIONS | CITY OF FALL RIVER

The Fall River Master Planning process resumed on June 17, 2008, with a focus group on schools, public safety, health & human services and human resources. The three-hour discussion was held at the Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Center on Martine Street. Consultants Daphne Politis, AICP, and Brian Barber of Community Preservation Associates facilitated the discussion and recorded the ideas that were offered in response to questions about the issues facing youth, transportation, library and school facility utilization, family support services, senior concerns, grant opportunities and police and fire statistics. A summary of the suggestions will be included in the action and priorities of the final Master Plan for the City. Other focus groups were held on other topics including transportation, open spaces, and education. Click here to see photos of the April 9, 2008, Master Plan meeting.
