Members
of the B.M.C. Durfee High School
Peaceful Coalition spent May 23, 2008, at the YMCA
Camp Yomechas in Middleboro
to work on team-building skills. This event
provided students the opportunity
to work together and with members of the Fall River Police Department to
build trust prior to entering into a
dialogue
with police in a few weeks. Exercises included a ropes course and
trust-building exercises, in addition to an opportunity to try out the
canoes and kayaks. Members of the Coalition will return in the fall to
continue to build the Coalition leadership.
