Members of the B.M.C. Durfee High School Peaceful Coalition spent May 23, 2008, at the YMCA Camp Yomechas in Middleboro to work on team-building skills. This event provided students the opportunity to work together and with members of the Fall River Police Department to build trust prior to entering into a dialogue with police in a few weeks. Exercises included a ropes course and trust-building exercises, in addition to an opportunity to try out the canoes and kayaks. Members of the Coalition will return in the fall to continue to build the Coalition leadership. Click here for photos of the 2006 trip.
