For the
past twenty years, men's slow-pitch softball teams have participated in
the Phillip Rocha Memorial tournament. Organized by his brother, John,
in 1988, the tournament has raised over $20,000 over the past fifteen
years for
Hospice & Palliative Care, a program of
the Visiting Nurse Association of
Southeastern Massachusetts, Inc.
Over twenty teams play each year at Kennedy Park and Father Kelly Park
in Fall River and at O'Neil Field off Brayton Point Road in Somerset.
