Personal Trainer Amy Jones of Where Is The Work-Out, offered a special, low-impact Functional Senior Stretching class at the Neighborhood Fitness Center at CD-REC on Bank Street for those over 55 between January 25th and March 28, 2008 . Designed as a gentle stretching class tailored to senior needs, the sessions emphasize functional stretching and relaxation in a stress-free hour. Amy guides participants through a safe, effective and easy-to-follow program that can improve sleep, soothe aching muscles, and improve general balance. The class is offered as part of the city-wide Fitness Challenge  which offers low-impact aerobic classes at the Diabetes Association, Inc, Zumba classes, and personal training, as well as nutrition classes throughout the week. Participants are eligible to win prizes through drawings held throughout the Challenge. Click here for photos of the press event announcing the Challenge.
