United Neighbors of Fall River held a Community Resource Fair at the Department of Children and Families (DCF) office at 1567 North Main Street on September 30, 2008, to introduce staff from a number of provider agencies to the DCF staff. Held in a small meeting room at the DCF offices, representatives had the opportunity to meet with DCF staff and to exchange information about the abundant resources available to families in Fall River. "This was a terrific occasion to put a face with a name," said United Neighbors executive director Jenny Diblasi. "There are so many terrific resources in this city that it's difficult for DCF staff to be aware of all of them. This resource fair helps." United Neighbors is a DCF-funded project that assists in projects and events that strengthen and build on the community. Click here to see pictures from its recent Building Bridges event.
