The Harbor Mall Wal-Mart store was the site of its annual day-long health fair focusing on women's health held this year on May 3, 2008. Speaking of Women’s Health gave out free copies of its newest book, “A Few of Our Favorite Things.” The 144-page book contains chapters on a variety of topics like healthy eating, beauty, great relationships, exercising, life balance and Speaking to Men About Health®. Plus, it provides wonderful recipes with beautiful color photos on how to serve delicious snacks, meals and desserts. Speaking of Women’s Health is a non-profit foundation, whose goal is to educate women in a variety of ways, including educational conferences, television programming, newsletters, books and community outreach. Events do not promote a specific doctor or a specific treatment; instead, it offers information about the many options available to women today. Events encourage women to gain the knowledge, talk to their doctor or health care practitioner and make these important decisions on their own. For more information, contact Wal-Mart Good Works Coordinator Chris Gillet at 508-730-2677.
