The Diabetes Association, Inc. (DAI) and Community Development Recreation (CD-REC) teamed up to provide low-cost Zumba classes as part of the City's first Fitness Challenge held at the Veterans' Memorial at 72 Bank Street. Zumba is a low-impact fitness workout held to Latin and international music. Over 70 people arrived for the 5:30 p.m. program designed to engage people who live or work in Fall River in fitness exercises that can help with weight loss. Participants are eligible to win prizes through drawings held throughout the Challenge.  Click here for photos of the press event announcing the Challenge.
