Bristol Community College (BCC) held its annual Health and Wellness Fair on October 21, 2009, in the Commonwealth Center lobby to introduce students and faculty to the large variety of health and wellness resources in the Greater Fall River Area. About twenty providers displayed their services and gave participants a chance to meet and speak with representatives. "This is a terrific opportunity for students and faculty to learn about the many resources that are available outside of the campus", commented Carol Constantine of the BCC health services staff. "Many are simply unaware of all that is available in Fall River," she added. Agency representatives enjoyed opportunity to talk with people in person, one-on-one. Organizations represented included BCC Dental Hygiene, Big Friends/ Little Friends, HealthFirst Family Care Center, Seven Hills Behavioral Health, SSTAR Family HealthCare Center, The Samaritans, UMass School of Nursing, and Southcoast Tobacco Control.
