In order to give children a chance to be active during the April school vacation,  the Community Development Recreation (CD-REC) program offered a variety of special offerings during the week, including a baseball skills clinic on April 23rd and 24th, 2009, with Fall River Fire Department Lt. Dan Gerling, cousin of Minnesota Twins' Joe Crede. The clinic was designed to prepare youth for the upcoming baseball season and to tech the skills and fundamentals of baseball. Meeting at the North Park ball field on President Avenue, participants practiced hitting, throwing, batting and running under Coach Gerling's instruction. Click here for photos of the wrestling clinic offered during the same week at CD-REC. For more information about the CD-REC recreation program, go to www.CD-REC.org or call 508-679-0922.
