B.M.C. Durfee High School and Fall River Middle School students gathered at Community Development Recreation (CD-REC) on Bank Street for a Spring Break dance contest on February 19, 2009. This event was part of several events held at the facility, including a F.R.E.S.H. Games event held for younger children earlier in the week. Students from the Peaceful Coalition and other groups displayed their dance moves for the assembled crowd, and awards were presented to those voted to having done the best job by the judges. Students put in many hours perfecting their moves, many of which reflect considerable physical strength and skills acquired over years of practice. Click here to see photos of some of the groups performing at the recent MLK Day of Service event. For more information, contact CD-REC Program Director Jamison Souza at 508-679-0922.
