The annual
Easter Egg Hunt was organized on April 7, 2009 by Fall
River Housing Authority Family and Youth Services Director Joey DaSilva,
at the Pleasant View development in the City's North End. Easter
Egg hunts are organized for children in eleven Housing Authority
developments during the weeks prior to and just after the Easter holiday. The very popular
events brings children from ages two to twelve out of their homes for some
great heart-healthy activity with their friends. Parents get involved,
too, and share in the excitement. This activity is one example of the
many activities organized by the Housing Authority to build community
and promote health among over 20,000 residents of public housing in Fall
