Over 1,500 people gathered at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School on May 16, 2009 to for the 11th Annual Get Moving walk to raise money for the  St. Anne's Hospital regional cancer program. Saint Anne's Hospital CEO Joseph E. Ciccolo, Jr. introduced Karyl Benoit and Kyra Cordeiro, organizers of the event, to get the walkers started on the 3.5 mile route through the streets around the high school in the City's North End. Fundraising teams led by Title Sponsor Anthony Cordeiro and his team from the Cordeiro Insurance Agency helped to raise over $157,000 at the event, which, combined with the $784,311 raised in the past ten years, brings the total raised to close to $1 million in donations.
