The Friends of Heritage State Park held their annual Holiday House event on December 5, 2009, at the Park visitors' center at Battleship Cove. The event offers the opportunity for guests to shop for family members and children the chance to make ornaments, decorate cookies, have their face painted and to visit with Santa. They could also visit Candy’s Petting Zoo and hold live animals, including a bunny rabbit. Tables were staffed by local scouting troops and organizations. The event is sponsored every year by the Friends of Heritage State Park and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. Click here for photos of last years' event.
