This year's Fourth of July celebration included some heart-healthy exercise as part of the festivities. Starting at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2009, people were invited to join Amy Jones for a "Wake Up Fall River" event that featured a twenty-minute walk through downtown Fall River accompanied by the tunes of the Hills and Mills Clown Band. That event was followed by some stretching exercises led by Ms. Jones in front of Government Center. Participants in the day's events were also able to shoot baskets and enjoy a giant inflatable trampoline right in front the of the Center on South Main Street which had been closed for the weekend. Members of the Peaceful Coalition also provided a demonstration of break dancing on the stage. For more information about fitness possibilities, contact personal trainer Amy Jones at 508-679-0922.
