The 2010 Fitness Challenge, the third offered by the Diabetes Association, Inc. (DAI), Children In Balance, Community Development Recreation (CD-REC), the Fall River YMCA and Healthy Lives Fall River, held its first Fitness Q&A session with personal trainer Amy Jones and chef Jessica Williams on January 13, 2010. Meeting in the second floor classroom, over thirty participants had the opportunity to go over aspects of nutrition and weight loss that can help them as they work on their personal health goals. Sessions are scheduled for every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at CD-REC on Bank Street throughout the fourteen week Challenge. Participants are required to weigh-in every two weeks either at CD-REC or at dozens of work sites throughout the City and are eligible to win prizes just for participating. Low cost fitness opportunities are offered at CD-REC, the YMCA and the Diabetes Association to Challenge participants. Click here for links to all of the videos of past Challenge events.
