The annual Easter Egg Hunt was organized on March 31, 2010 by Fall River Housing Authority  Family and Youth Services Director Joey DaSilva, at the Maple Gardens development in the City's South End. Easter Egg hunts are organized for children in eleven Housing Authority developments during the weeks prior to  the Easter holiday. The very popular events brings children from ages two to twelve out of their homes for some great heart-healthy activity with their friends. Parents get involved, too, and share in the excitement. This activity is one example of the many activities organized by the Housing Authority to build community and promote health among over 20,000 residents of public housing in Fall River.
