Intergenerational
gardening combines the best of both worlds: the strength and exuberance
of youth with the work experience and long-range planning more typical
of adults. Here, the Church of the Holy
Spirit Senior Fellowship harvest the last crops from the Church’s
garden with children from the Family
Service After-school Daycare program. This 2010 project was so
successful that the groups plan to work together again next year. Over
the winter, the children will be choosing their crops and planting
seedlings in anticipation of spring. Click

video of the event. Click

information, contact Sue Correira
at the Church of the Holy Spirit or Mike
Currin at the Family Service Association. For more information about Community
Gardens, go to the Facebook
