On his way to a tour of the Lightolier Company in Fall River's Industrial Park on February 4, 2010, Governor Deval Patrick stopped at the Eagle Restaurant on North Main Street to meet briefly with officials and to respond to questions. Those assembled included Mayor Will Flanagan, who introduced the Governor, and thanked him for his recent support for the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education’s approval of the University of Massachusetts School of Law at Dartmouth. The Governor took questions on a number of subjects and emphasized the importance of responding to the economic difficulties that many people in the City and throughout the Commonwealth are experiencing with the economy over the past several years. Deborah Fastino of the the Coalition for Social Justice (CSJ) organized the event.
