Mike Ramos of the Fall River Healthy Lives program teamed up with staff from the Narrows Center for the Arts to offer over 150 people the chance to sample healthy dishes from Fall River's restaurants on February 4, 2010. "This was a wonderful opportunity to showcase many of the healthy dishes that local restaurants who are participating in the Healthy Dining program and others," said Ramos. Ramos has added over a dozen restaurants to the list of establishments who meet specific criteria over the past year. "More and more, people are looking for food that not only tastes good but is good for them," added Ramos. Participating restaurants included Trio Café, Pub 99, Bella Restaurant, Tim Hortons, Caldeiras Restaurant, Boston Market, Mesa 21, Daou Market, Diman Vocational Restaurant Tea Room, Venus de Milo Restaurant, Sky Lounge, Subway, Mc Govern’s Restaurant, Whites of Westport,, Tradewinds Restaurant, and the Waterstreet Cafe.
